Elusive Illusions

So, this is Lilyanas' Ferrus! Or at least a concept of it--things have actually progressed a bit further than this, but I just really like this picture so I'm going to show you all anyway! Lilyanas is 's character who I'm "borrowing" for Ancient Skies. The wolf-griffen concept was her idea as well--this is just my interpretation. <><>

Anyway, in case you were wondering about the title, I was referring to the creatures abilities, which are illusion-based, and how "elusive" a good design for it is! I mean, as pretty as this is, the wings are super distracting and mess with the flow of the rest of it. The head's also a little detail-heavy, and both contribute to the fact the eye has no idea where to go! However, as a starting point, and as a somewhat cool pic, I think it does fine. <><> Even if I did have to reference a random wolf off google reallllyyy heavily. (Pose and form-wise anyway.)
