WORK IN PROGRESS!

Just really wanted to show you all. Since AS is going to be a comic, I figured I ought to work on my dynamic poses and background in conjunction.  Unfortunately, I had to rush the BG a little because I had a place to be, and a movie to see(Your Name/君の名前は--watched with subs in THEATRE with my two best friends. IT WAS SERIOUSLY AWESOME.) BUT, I'm hoping to get around to either digitally doing the linework for this, or inking with a nib. Given that nib is pernament, I wanted a record of how it looked before I lined first. <><'>

I actually drew this yesterday, but I finished about 5 minutes before I left the house, so I didn't really have time to do anything more than upload it to my st.ash.

Also, the little sketches at the top are me getting the pose right after failing to do so quite a few times (and trying to act-out the image more than once).

Also, I had difficulty getting her expression right--I originally had something good, but it was a little too high on her face, so I erased it. And on paper, there's no ctrl-z. Eh, oh well.

Also, this is one of the very few pictures where I did NOT start with the face. For pictures where the pose is INTENTIONALLY this dynamic I sometimes actually (*gasp*) do a sketch! ...Okay, really in this case, my sketch was pretty much a body-line that ended up becoming her zipper, and a circle for the head that ended up getting erased anyway because I realized I didn't give her a NECK. And she's not a dullahan. So, if her head/face seem a little smaller than normal(which, hopefully they just seem in proportion), doing the face last and thus drawing the complete opposite of my normal style is what I'm blaming. I am happy with how all the individual parts of the body turned out though--even if I did have to redo that right arm/fist of hers, but her left is definitely better. I'm also pleasantly surprised with the SPEECH BUBBLE of all things--I didn't know I could work with those! Now we just need a better font that isn't my chicken-scratch...

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!

-feline, out!
